Bassist Ryan Smith adds an edge to the group that
has earned him the alias Metal Man Smith. His roots
started with cello for most of his early schooling, and
he moved on to electric guitar and bass after
graduating from high school. Ryan Smith participated
in the Southwest music scene for more than 20 years,
as a concert artist and recording musician for such
local acts as Wise Folk Malcontent, La Cerca, Pathos,
Cutting Edge, and Mudfoot, as well as performing and
recording his own solo material (check out his
MySpace page). His bass playing can be heard on the
"Sweet Inside" single. Ryan plays 5-string bass,
Megatar, fretless bass, and guitar with Thousand
Gathered.
